Last Updated: 09/09/2026
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the Qwik-Law LLC / DBA Qwik-Code mobile application, website, services, databases, reference materials, and related products (collectively, the “Service”) provided by Qwik-Law LLC / DBA Qwik-Code (“Qwik-Law LLC”, “Qwik-Code,” “Company,” “we,” “us,” or “our”).
By downloading, installing, accessing, or using Qwik-Code, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree with these Terms, you must not access or use the Service.
1. Purpose of Qwik-Code
Qwik-Code is a mobile reference and information application that provides convenient access to statutory codes, regulations, ordinances, enforcement references, procedural information, agency-specific materials, and other legal and informational resources. Qwik-Code is available to the general public, including law-enforcement officers, public-safety personnel, government personnel, attorneys, businesses, and other users.
Qwik-Code is intended to assist users with locating and referencing information efficiently. Qwik-Code does not replace an officer’s training, agency policies, supervisory direction, official legal resources, or professional legal judgment.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years of age, or the age of majority in your jurisdiction, to create an account or use the Service. By using the Service, you represent that you meet this requirement.
3. License
Subject to these Terms, Qwik-Law LLC grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to download, install, and use the Qwik-Code application on devices that you own or control, and to access the Service, for your personal use or for use within the scope of authority granted by your employing or contracting organization. For the application as distributed through the Apple App Store, this license is limited to use on Apple-branded products that you own or control and as permitted by the Usage Rules set forth in the Apple Media Services Terms and Conditions, except that the application may be accessed and used by other accounts associated with you via Family Sharing or volume purchasing. No other right is granted.
4. No Legal Advice
Qwik-Code is an informational and reference tool and does not provide legal advice. The Qwik-Code Legal Reference Disclaimer is incorporated into these Terms by reference. Information displayed through the Service should not be interpreted as legal advice, a legal opinion, or a determination that a particular enforcement action is lawful or appropriate.
Users are responsible for independently verifying applicable laws, regulations, ordinances, case law, agency policies, and other authoritative sources before relying upon information contained in the Service.
Laws and regulations may change, may differ between jurisdictions, and may be subject to interpretation by courts or other governmental authorities. Qwik-Code does not guarantee that any particular code, statute, regulation, ordinance, citation, penalty, enforcement provision, or other legal information is current, complete, accurate, or applicable to a particular circumstance.
5. Authorized Use
You agree to use Qwik-Code only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms.
If you are accessing Qwik-Code on behalf of a law-enforcement agency, governmental entity, department, or other organization, you represent that you have authority to use the Service on behalf of that organization.
You may not:
- Use Qwik-Code for an unlawful purpose.
- Use another person’s account or credentials without authorization.
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service or its systems.
- Circumvent security, authentication, or access-control mechanisms.
- Reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble, or attempt to derive source code from the Service except to the extent expressly permitted by applicable law.
- Copy, reproduce, distribute, sell, sublicense, lease, or commercially exploit the Service or its content except as expressly authorized in these Terms or as permitted by applicable law, including with respect to public-domain material identified in Section 10.
- Interfere with the operation or security of the Service.
- Introduce malicious code, malware, or other harmful technology.
- Use automated systems to scrape, harvest, or systematically extract information from the Service without written authorization.
- Use the Service to impersonate another person or agency.
- Use the Service in a manner that violates applicable law, regulation, court order, agency policy, or governmental requirement.
6. Law-Enforcement and Agency Use
Qwik-Code may be made available through individual subscriptions, agency subscriptions, enterprise accounts, or other authorized arrangements. An agency or organization may establish administrative controls governing its users’ access to the Service.
If your access is provided by an agency or organization, that organization may control your account, access, permissions, and use of the Service, and may establish additional policies governing your use of Qwik-Code. Nothing in these Terms authorizes a user to exceed the authority granted by his or her employing or contracting agency.
7. Accuracy of Legal and Enforcement Information
Qwik-Code may contain information concerning laws, codes, statutes, regulations, ordinances, penalties, enforcement provisions, or related legal materials. Although we make reasonable efforts to maintain accurate and useful information, Qwik-Code does not warrant that all information is current, complete, error-free, or legally authoritative at the time it is accessed.
Users should verify information against official governmental or other authoritative sources when making an enforcement, investigative, prosecutorial, administrative, or other consequential decision. Qwik-Code should not be the sole source relied upon when determining whether an enforcement action, citation, arrest, search, seizure, detention, charging decision, or other governmental action is legally authorized.
8. QWIK-CODE Offline Use and Legal Content
Offline Functionality
Qwik-Code is designed to allow users to access legal-reference content stored locally on the user’s device, including in environments where internet connectivity is limited or unavailable. Certain features, including account authentication, subscription verification, content updates, and support functions, may require an active internet connection.
Content Currency and Updates
Legal-reference content stored on the device reflects the version of the content installed at the time of the most recent successful update. Laws, regulations, ordinances, penalties, and enforcement provisions may change after content is installed. Qwik-Law LLC may release updated content periodically. Users are responsible for installing available updates and for maintaining a current version of the application and its content when relying upon it.
Content Update Date
Where technically feasible, Qwik-Code displays the date or version of the legal-reference content currently installed on the device. Users should review the displayed content date or version and independently verify the applicable law before relying upon offline content for any consequential decision.
Offline Data and Device Storage
Information stored on the device in connection with offline use, including cached legal-reference content, search history, notes, highlights, bookmarks, and application preferences, remains on the device and is subject to the security of the device itself. Qwik-Law LLC does not transmit locally stored search history to its servers. Users should protect their devices with appropriate passcodes, device-level authentication, and current operating-system updates, and should follow applicable agency security policies for government-issued devices.
Removing the application from the device removes locally stored application data. Users who wish to retain notes, highlights, or bookmarks should use the export or backup feature, if one is provided within the application, before removal.
9. QWIK-CODE Legal Reference Disclaimer
Qwik-Code, provided by Qwik-Law LLC, is a legal-reference and enforcement-reference application that provides convenient access to statutory codes, regulations, ordinances, procedural information, and related legal-reference materials.
Qwik-Code is provided for informational and reference purposes only. Qwik-Code does not provide legal advice, legal opinions, or determinations regarding whether any enforcement action, investigative action, detention, arrest, search, seizure, citation, charging decision, or other governmental action is lawful, appropriate, or authorized.
Laws, regulations, ordinances, penalties, and enforcement provisions may change, may vary by jurisdiction, and may be subject to judicial or administrative interpretation. Although Qwik-Law LLC makes reasonable efforts to maintain accurate and useful information, Qwik-Law LLC does not warrant that any information within Qwik-Code is current, complete, accurate, error-free, or applicable to a particular circumstance.
Users are solely responsible for independently verifying applicable laws, regulations, ordinances, case law, agency policies, and official governmental sources before relying upon any information contained within Qwik-Code.
Qwik-Code does not replace an officer’s training, agency policies, supervisory direction, official legal resources, prosecutorial guidance, or professional legal judgment. Nothing in Qwik-Code creates an attorney-client relationship, law-enforcement relationship, agency relationship, or any other professional relationship between Qwik-Law LLC and any user.
QWIK-CODE SHOULD NOT BE USED AS THE SOLE BASIS FOR ANY ENFORCEMENT, INVESTIGATIVE, ADMINISTRATIVE, PROSECUTORIAL, OR OTHER CONSEQUENTIAL DECISION.
10. Subscriptions, Billing, and Cancellation
Certain features of the Service require a paid subscription. Subscription plans, prices, and billing periods are described at the point of purchase.
Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period at the then-current price until canceled. By purchasing a subscription, you authorize the applicable payment provider to charge the subscription fee to your payment method on a recurring basis.
Subscriptions purchased through the Apple App Store or Google Play Store are billed and managed by the applicable marketplace and may be canceled at any time through your marketplace account settings. Deleting the Qwik-Code application or your Qwik-Code account does not cancel a marketplace subscription. Refunds for marketplace purchases are governed by the marketplace provider’s policies.
Subscriptions purchased directly from Qwik-Law LLC through its website are processed by our third-party payment provider. You will be asked to affirmatively consent to the automatic-renewal terms before purchase. After purchase, we will send you an acknowledgment containing the subscription terms and the cancellation method. You may cancel at any time online through your Qwik-Code account settings, and cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. For subscriptions of one year or longer, we will send you an annual reminder of the subscription terms and how to cancel. If a subscription begins with a free trial or promotional price, we will remind you before the trial or promotional period ends and the standard price applies. Except where required by applicable law, fees already paid are non-refundable, and no refund or credit is provided for partial billing periods.
You will receive notice of any increase in subscription fees at least 30 days before it takes effect, with instructions for canceling before the new price applies.
11. User Accounts and Security
Certain features may require an account. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for activities conducted through your account. You must promptly notify Qwik-Code if you believe that your account has been compromised or accessed without authorization.
Users accessing Qwik-Code through government or agency-issued devices must comply with applicable agency security policies. We may suspend or terminate accounts that we reasonably believe have been compromised, misused, or used in violation of these Terms.
12. Intellectual Property
The Service, including its software, design, user interface, trademarks, logos, graphics, databases, compilation of information, legal-reference publications, summaries, and other materials, is owned by or licensed to Qwik-Law LLC and is protected by United States and international copyright, trademark, and other intellectual-property laws.
© 2026 Qwik-Law LLC. All rights reserved. The Qwik-Code legal-reference publications are registered with the United States Copyright Office.
QWIK-CODE and the Qwik-Code badge design are a registered trademark (U.S. Reg. No. 3,630,157) for legal-reference publications in the field of law enforcement, used by Qwik-Law LLC as successor to the original registrant. The Qwik-Code™ name and logo, as used in connection with the mobile application and related software and services, are trademarks of Qwik-Law LLC.
Except for the license granted in Section 3, no ownership interest is transferred to you. Where legal information is derived from public governmental sources or other sources not owned by Qwik-Law LLC, Qwik-Law LLC does not claim ownership of the underlying public-domain or third-party material; Qwik-Law LLC does claim ownership of its original selection, arrangement, summaries, annotations, and presentation of that material.
13. Third-Party Information and Services
The Service may contain links to or information obtained from third-party websites, governmental sources, databases, APIs, or other services. Qwik-Code does not control third-party services and is not responsible for their availability, accuracy, security, privacy practices, or content. Your use of third-party services may be subject to separate terms and privacy policies.
14. Availability and Changes
We may modify, update, suspend, or discontinue all or part of the Service at any time. We do not guarantee that Qwik-Code will be continuously available, uninterrupted, secure, or error-free. Maintenance, updates, network outages, device limitations, governmental changes, third-party service interruptions, and other circumstances may affect availability.
15. Updates to Legal Content
Because laws and regulations can change, Qwik-Code may periodically update its legal-reference content. Updates may occur automatically or may require the user to download an application or database update. Users are responsible for maintaining an appropriately updated version of the Service when relying upon its content. Where technically feasible, the application displays the date or version of the legal-reference content installed on your device. You should review that information before relying on the content for a consequential decision.
16. Emergency and Operational Limitations
Qwik-Code is not an emergency communications system, dispatch system, records-management system, evidence-management system, or substitute for an agency’s official communications or operational systems unless expressly identified as such by Qwik-Code in writing. Users should not rely exclusively on Qwik-Code when delay or failure could reasonably result in injury, loss of life, unlawful detention, loss of evidence, or other significant harm.
17. Privacy
Your use of Qwik-Code is also governed by the Qwik-Code Privacy Policy, which explains what information we collect, how we use it, how we protect it, when it may be disclosed, and applicable retention and deletion practices.
18. Disclaimer of Warranties
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE.” QWIK-LAW LLC DISCLAIMS ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE, NON-INFRINGEMENT, ACCURACY, RELIABILITY, AND AVAILABILITY. QWIK-LAW LLC DOES NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE OR ITS LEGAL, REGULATORY, OR ENFORCEMENT INFORMATION WILL ALWAYS BE COMPLETE, CURRENT, ACCURATE, OR ERROR-FREE.
19. Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, QWIK-LAW LLC AND ITS OWNERS, OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, CONTRACTORS, LICENSORS, AND SERVICE PROVIDERS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING FROM OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE.
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, QWIK-LAW LLC’S TOTAL LIABILITY ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO THE SERVICE WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNT YOU PAID TO QWIK-LAW LLC FOR THE SERVICE DURING THE TWELVE MONTHS PRECEDING THE EVENT GIVING RISE TO THE CLAIM OR (B) $100.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot legally be excluded or limited.
20. Indemnification
To the maximum extent permitted by law, you agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Qwik-Law LLC and its officers, directors, employees, contractors, licensors, and service providers from claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses arising from your unlawful use of the Service, violation of these Terms, or violation of another person’s rights.
21. Suspension and Termination
We may suspend or terminate your access to Qwik-Code if we reasonably believe that you have violated these Terms, compromised the security of the Service, used the Service unlawfully, or created a security or operational risk. Upon termination, your right to use the Service will cease. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination will survive, including intellectual-property provisions, disclaimers, limitations of liability, indemnification, and dispute-resolution provisions.
22. Dispute Resolution
This Section is governed by the Federal Arbitration Act, 9 U.S.C. § 1 et seq.
Except for disputes involving a governmental entity (which are governed by Sections 21 and 22) and except for either party’s right to seek injunctive relief in court for infringement or misuse of intellectual property, any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service will be resolved by binding individual arbitration administered by the American Arbitration Association under its Consumer Arbitration Rules. The arbitration will be conducted in the county where you reside, in Ada County, Idaho, or by video conference, at your election. Either party may instead bring an individual claim in small claims court.
YOU AND QWIK-LAW LLC EACH WAIVE THE RIGHT TO A JURY TRIAL AND THE RIGHT TO PARTICIPATE IN A CLASS ACTION OR CLASS-WIDE ARBITRATION.
Nothing in this Section prevents either party from seeking public injunctive relief in a court of competent jurisdiction where applicable law provides that such right may not be waived. If any portion of this Section is found unenforceable as to a particular claim or remedy, that claim or remedy shall be severed and litigated in court, and the remainder of this Section shall be enforced.
You may opt out of this arbitration provision by sending written notice to the address in Section 24 within 30 days after first accepting these Terms. For accounts created before the Effective Date of these Terms, the opt-out period runs from the date you first accept these Terms as updated. Changes to this Section do not apply to any dispute of which either party had notice before the change took effect.
23. Governing Law and Venue
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Idaho, without regard to its conflict-of-law principles, unless applicable law requires otherwise. Subject to Section 20, any dispute will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Ada County, Idaho, and you consent to the jurisdiction of those courts, unless otherwise required by applicable law or a separate written agreement.
24. Government Users
If Qwik-Code is purchased or used by a governmental entity, these Terms are subject to applicable laws governing governmental contracting, sovereign immunity, public records, records retention, procurement, and other governmental requirements. Nothing in these Terms is intended to waive any governmental immunity or other protection that cannot legally be waived.
25. Apple and Google Platform Terms
These Terms are between you and Qwik-Law LLC only, and not with Apple Inc. (“Apple”) or Google LLC (“Google”). Qwik-Law LLC, not Apple or Google, is solely responsible for the Service and its content. The scope of your license to the application as distributed through the Apple App Store is set forth in Section 3.
Apple and Google have no obligation to furnish maintenance or support for the Service.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Apple has no warranty obligation with respect to the Service. If the Service fails to conform to any applicable warranty, you may notify Apple, and Apple will refund the purchase price, if any, paid to Apple for the Service. Any other claims, losses, liabilities, damages, costs, or expenses attributable to any failure to conform to any warranty are Qwik-Law LLC’s sole responsibility.
Qwik-Law LLC, not Apple or Google, is responsible for addressing any claims by you or any third party relating to the Service or your possession or use of it, including product liability claims, any claim that the Service fails to conform to any applicable legal or regulatory requirement, and claims arising under consumer protection, privacy, or similar legislation.
If any third party claims that the Service or your possession and use of it infringes that third party’s intellectual property rights, Qwik-Law LLC, not Apple or Google, is solely responsible for the investigation, defense, settlement, and discharge of that claim.
You represent and warrant that you are not located in a country that is subject to a U.S. Government embargo or that has been designated by the U.S. Government as a “terrorist supporting” country, and that you are not listed on any U.S. Government list of prohibited or restricted parties.
You must comply with applicable third-party terms of agreement when using the Service.
Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms. Upon your acceptance of these Terms, Apple will have the right, and will be deemed to have accepted the right, to enforce these Terms against you as a third-party beneficiary.
Your use of the applicable app marketplace is also subject to the marketplace provider’s terms and policies.
